My name is Karlijn (but abroad I’m often called Caroline). I am 30 years old and live together with my husband in Nijmegen, a beautiful old city in the Netherlands. Currently I am working fulltime as a Senior Consultant at a Big 4 consultancy firm, advising hospitals on everything related to digital.
About this blog
With only 26 days off per year, it’s always a challenge to visit the destinations on my wishlist. Therefore, I try to come up with smart itineraries, that enable me to see and experience as much as possible in a short time. I will share them on this blog.
Furthermore, you can expect:
- to read about a variety of destinations, both far away and closeby. I enjoy going on trips to Asia or even Australia, but am just as happy camping in France.
- to see a selection of my favourite photographs. I really enjoy taking photographs (using a mirrorless camera), hopefully it shows!
- to read about traveling on any budget. In the past years we made some great trips on a tight budget. I’ll tell you how. If you are more of a luxury lover, I hope you will like my advice on places worth the occasional splurge.
- get some ‘insider’ tips. I’ll try to give you some not-so-obvious tips for good bars, restaurants, sights and hotels.
